Sex Therapy

SEX THERAPY

Sex therapy offers a safe and compassionate space to explore intimacy, desire, identity, body image, and the natural changes that come with age and life experience. As we move through different seasons of life, our relationship to sex can shift—what once felt effortless may now feel distant or uncertain. Desire may ebb and flow, bodies may respond differently, and intimacy may feel harder to access.

You might find yourself wondering, Is this normal? Will I ever feel that connection again? The answer is: you're not broken—and you're not alone.

Sex therapy gives you the opportunity to talk openly about these changes, name what feels off, and redefine what intimacy and pleasure mean to you now. Whether you're experiencing low desire, discomfort during sex, arousal difficulties, emotional distance, or self-doubt, we’ll explore it together—gently and without judgment.

This work involves talk therapy focused on your personal sexual experiences, the messages you’ve received about sex, and any emotional, physical, or relational barriers impacting your connection. At times, sexual concerns may be related to medical issues, and I may suggest a consultation with a provider such as a gynecologist, urologist, or primary care physician to help provide a full picture.

Sex Topics We Can Explore

At its core, sex therapy is about returning to yourself—with honesty, curiosity, and compassion. It honors the full spectrum of human sexuality and celebrates your right to feel connected, desired, and fulfilled—at any stage of life.

At The Wave Within, we see you. We're here to support your growth, your exploration, and your full expression—physically, emotionally, and sexually.

Note: Sex therapy does not include any physical contact or sexual activity between therapist and client. If anything in the process feels uncomfortable, you are always encouraged to speak up, take a pause, or file a complaint with the appropriate licensing board.
